A Day at the Musuem and Other Updates

Yesterday I went to Ayala Museum with my friend Darwin and let me tell you, it was an enriching and inspiring experience. If you have time and Php 225 to spare, I do encourage you to go ahead and give the place a visit. It’s not as hoity toity as you think it is. Don’t worry if you’re not an art expert or an ancient Chinese ceramics collector. Just appreciate the various collections in your own way. If the Philippine Gold exhibit wasn’t there, I’d say the dinosaur poop was it for me. Hahaha.

Anyway, on to business. I’m posting part four of Tet’s The Untitled Collective for your enjoyment. To me, this story feels like waking up from a dream, when you remember only fragments of it and yet you still know the whole story. See if it’s the same for you too.

Enjoy.

The Untitled Collective Part 4: Wasted Little Hours

“Let me read what you’re submitting!”

“No, I don’t want to! You’re good at this thing, and I’m terrible at it! I swear. I just typed this up really fast last night!”

“No you didn’t! You stayed up all night to finish this, I know.”

Thoughts on Promdifiction submissions and running a marathon

After a long, long, absence here’s what’s been happening:

  • The third part of Tet’s The Untitled Collective is already up for reading.
  • Ran a marathon last Sunday. Finished #151 out of 228 participants in my division. I learned not to drink and stay up all night before a race.
  • I realized how privileged I am to be reading such wonderful stories submitted to Promdifiction. The ideas and experiences of all the authors, have inspired me to write some more. Of course, it’s also nice to play that little guessing game of what’s truth and what’s fiction in their works. *wink*

Enjoy reading and hope to hear from you soon.

The Untitled Collective Part 3: Investments

I don’t know why I never told you I loved you. I think I figured that like all things in my life, the chance would come in good time. I thought we’d come around soon enough, when you were done making your mistakes as I obviously was trying to finish up with all of mine.

I think I was afraid that the one man I thought I wanted to spend my life with might actually want to spend it with someone else if I came forward too soon, too untimely.

“Aww.. Thanks! You remembered!”

“Of course I did, you owe me booze.”

“Haha yeah! I remember! Absinthe and more! It’s fine with you if you join my friends?

The Untitled Collective Part 1: Five Weddings Raffled, and I Picked the Only Funeral

It was really uneventful, how I found out you had left me for good. I received an instant message from our friend. I think I cried for the next five hours, before my mother pulled me away from being frozen in front of the computer screen and forced me to have dinner.

After weeks of what I now acknowledge as pure cowardice, I took a friend along to visit you one last time.

“You, you’re the sunflower girl.”

At that moment, my head, my heart, they burst into a hundred million pieces in flurry from years of restraint.

Something New

One, because this is a new story to be featured in the longest time.

Second, because this one is divided into parts - literally. Maybe it’s to signify separation, distance, independence, solitude. I really don’t know.

But we are all about to find out.

This is by Tet Grajo and we’ll call it The Untitled Collective.

Here’s a little something from Tet:

This is the most honest set of truths and lies I will ever write in my life.

This is the story about a girl. A boy, too, who left her too early. Sometimes I wish it were about a love they shared.

Maybe, more appropriately, this is all that’s left of what could’ve been a love story.

In my mind, this is the only could-be love story that feels like a love story. Enjoy.

Non Fictional Updates for Promdifiction

It has been a while since I made updates to the site. Blame my work and Mercury’s retrograde for it.

For the meantime, I made updates on the About and FAQs section of the site. Right now I’m trying to convert all past and completed stories into PDF format for everyone to download. Just make sure to follow the CC License everyone. :)

That’s it for now.

Smooches.
